Joe Biden is getting into the presidential race, apparently having discovered a qualification for the office no other candidate can possibly match:
"I'm going to be Joe Biden, and I'm going to try to be the best Biden I can be," he said. "If I can, I got a shot. If I can't, I lose."
Of course, even if he is the best Joe Biden he can be, that doesn't help me much as a voter. I have no idea what standards there are for being a Joe Biden, therefore no way to know whether or not he is living up to them. But at least I won't have to endure the spectacle of Joe Biden trying to be the best Hillary Clinton he can be, and I'm pretty sure that if Barack Obama tried to be the best Joe Biden he could be, he would be trounced in every primary. I am especially glad that he has decided not to be the best Leo Morris he can be. I think I've gotten pretty good at that myself, but I'm not sure how I would stand up to the competition.
