Now that John Roberts might be chief justice instead of just a plain old justice, how can we sleep not knowing how he would vote on the unexamined but crucial Third Amendment? On a more serious note, I think this analysis of Roberts' judicial temerament is porbably pretty accurate, although he might be a tad more fundamentalist and a tad less minimalist than the writer supposes; it'll take a term or two to know for sure.
