1. Stephen Colbert, for taking treating testimony before Congress on a serious issue as a joke:
"This is America," Colbert continued. "I don't want a tomato picked by a Mexican. I want it picked by an American, then sliced by a Guatemalan and served by a Venezuelan in a spa where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian."
2. Rep. Zoe Lofgre, who invited him to testify:
"Many are eager to hear his comments," she said
3. The United Farm Workers, which asked him to appear, apparently in the belief that someone jesting about his one day on a farm would help its cause.
4. Me, for paying any attention to this sideshow.
I pick No. 4. As of right now, "Stephen Colbert" is listed as the top story on Goodle's Top 10 list. Christopher Coates, whose bombshell testimony about the Department of Justice's lack of commitment to the rule of law is a little more important, doesn't even make the list.
