Yeah, well, we'll see:
The Indianapolis Colts head the linesmakers' lists but they are on offer at odds of 8/1 (bet $10 to make $80 profit), when the pre-season favorite is usually around the 5/1 mark or lower. Odds of 8/1 suggest that the Colts have a 11 per cent chance of lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy next February.
The San Diego Chargers are second favorites at 10/1, followed by the New Orleans Saintsat 11/1. The Saints aim to win back-to-back Super Bowls after beating the Colts 31-17 in the Sun Life Stadium in February.
Super Bowl runners-up haven't done too well in recent years, there are at least a couple of other really good teams in the division, and the Colts stars are aging, so I'll be happy enough if things don't fall apart completely for Indianapolis.
There now. I think I've prevented myself from having my heart broken at the end of the season like last year. Uh-huh.
