Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and President Obama were set to meet Friday in Indianapolis. But with the ongoing budget deadlock, the president's trip was canceled.
He had been set to speak at a transmission plant, with the governor greeting him on the airport tarmac when he arrived.
And to think there are those who have said there would be no serious repercussions from the looming government shutdown. Thank goodness we have the weekend to recover from our bitter disappointment.
