Oops!

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is postponing an event that would have allowed people to turn over their guns to police, no questions asked.

The postponement comes days after Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry called Indianapolis Public Safety Director Frank Straub to express concerns about the event.

Curry said his office didn't like that the police could be collecting -- and destroying -- guns that might have been used in crimes.

"Sir, how did you end up with the gun used to rob a bank and kill five people?"

"Hey, you said no questions!"

The Official Indianapolis Evidence Disposal Service. Classy. They should start an alibi serve if they really want to help the poor, misguided criminals.
