I don't want to say the Colts are dead this season, but isn't that a vulture waiting to swoop down and tear the flesh from the bones?
Jeff George, the 1990 overall #1 pick in the NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts, has reportedly mentioned that he would like to play for his hometown Colts again, since Peyton Manning will be sidelined for a better part of the 2011 NFL season. George told Sam Farner, of the Los Angeles Times, that he could pick up the Indianapolis offense in the matter of days.
The Indianapolis Colts traded to draft George as the number one pick in 1990 and signed him to the richest rookie contract in NFL history. However, by the time his tenure in Indianapolis had concluded, which included a 1-15 season campaign in 1991, George had made vile gestures at the hometown Colts fans, argued with then head coach Ted Marchibroda, held out for 36 days, and asked to be traded, which the Colts obliged shipping George off to the Atlanta Falcons.
Yeah, that washed-up 38-year-old isn't doing so well, so let's bring in the washed-up 43-year-old, the one with the sparkling personaility. Man, how long is this season going to last?
