Ridiculous stat

After today's game, the Komets have gone 11-straight games where their opponents have had more power-play chances than they have. It's been 15-straight games since the Komets have had more power-play opportunities than their opponents. That's simply poor personal discipline and nothing else. You can't blame that on the refs, coaching or anything else. When it goes that long, it's inexcusable.

That's 23 extra chances for opponents over that span. You may think that's OK because the Komets are winning those games, but you'd be wrong because that means only certain players are logging a ton of minutes, a lot of those players are pretty banged up right now. Eventually that will kill a team.

Here's the other stuff you were looking for:

Fort Wayne blew a three-goal lead in the third period on Saturday at Port Huron. That's three games after they blew a 2-0 third-period lead at home on Feb. 4 to Elmira, a 3-1 third-period lead at Kalamazoo on Jan. 28, and a 4-1 second-period lead at Rockford on Jan. 18. They've also twice lost two-goal leads in shootouts this season.

I really thought we might see more fisticuffs tonight but it didn't happen.
