The Komets are leading up to this holiday season by encouraging Komet Fans to bring various items to some home games. The first is this weekend when the team is collecting used cell phones at Saturday's game to benefit the Disabled American Veterans in Allen County. You can find out more about here.
The second is Share the Warmth Kid's Coats Drive on the Thanksgiving night game, Saturday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 6. There's more information here.
The third, and closest to my heart, is Project Komet Kare Package 3, collecting items for our troops overseas. It's done in conjunction with the Komets and The News-Sentinel, and the dates are Saturday, Dec. 20 and Sunday, Dec. 21. There's more information here.
