“While we are obviously disappointed by the announcement from Kalamazoo concerning its departure from the International Hockey League, we are certainly confident in the plan of action the league has been building.
“Given the fact there are so many positive things on the horizon for the league regarding expansion, we feel very good about the direction things are headed and the overall strength of the IHL.
“The strength of the league should become very evident within the next few weeks. When you combine the love of hockey by fans here in Central Illinois and through the rest of the league with the passion of the leaders of both our team and the league, you create a strategy for success.”
