Going on BS Sports Show

Going on the BS Sports Show with Billy and Stiller again at 3 p.m. Monday to talk Komets Kare Package. We're also going to give away copies of ``Homecoming Game'' to the first 10 folks who show up at Glenbrook Hyandai with a significant donation for Komets Kare Package. I'll let you decide what is significant. I'll sign them for whomever you would like so you can use them as Christmas gifts or whatever. You can also listen on 1380-AM and 106.7-FM The Fan.

Fantastic start to Komets Kare Package

Maggio's magical moment saves Komets

Couple of notes

As much as we've talked about it the last couple of days, I don't think anyone on the entire Komets' team could have worked any harder defensively than they did on Sunday. I didn't see anybody who wasn't back-checking furiously and saw a lot of players blocking shots, trying up trailers and breaking up passes. That was a pretty impressive effort.

As one player told me, ``We've got three or four extra forwards. You don't backcheck, you don't play.''

Exceptional PK

Nice job by Butler, Kishel and Rizk and then Maggio, Nycholat and Smith to kill off 1:45 of a two-man Kalamazoo advantage. They hustled their tails off.

Here we go

Komets got home about 3:30 a.m. from Wheeling. One of the team members told me it was a quicker ride from Wheeling to Fort Wayne than it was from Reading to Wheeling. What do you think, Janice? Is that possible?

Referee is JM McNulty who called Kalamazoo's game with Cincinnati on Saturday night and the Wings weren't too pleased to see him again.

There will be a moment of silence before the game for the victims of Friday's shooting.
