Is here.
I'm not sure they could play much harder considering the circumstances. 13 skaters for half the game, and they still out-shot them 46-30. They were totally spent in the locker room, but they were still ticked off at giving up a point. I was in the locker room 2 1/2 hours before gametime and just about everybody had an ice pack, or a splint or was getting stim, and that's just the guys who played. There's about six guys on this team who should probably be sitting in the stands with their injuries. One of the leading scorers has a broken finger and can't even hold his stick correctly.
As the Komets are playing Muskegon, Mathieu Curadeau is driving back to Fort Wayne from Norfolk of the American Hockey League. Curadeau has 2 goals and 3 points with 21 penalty minutes in 18 games with t
According to General Manager David Franke, it looks like a decision will be made on Brandon Warner by Wednesday, and it's 90 percent likely he'll have to undergo surgery which will keep him out of the lineup for two months or more.
Kevin Bertram (shoulder), Jake Pence (ribs) and Brad MacMillan (concussion) are iffy for next weekend. Dominic Osman is also iffy with a sore knee, and the Komets are asking the league to review the hit by Port Huron's Robert Snowball from Saturday night.

It's too bad Vegas doesn't take IHL bets because you could make a fortune on Nick Boucher and the Komets in Port Huron. They are 11-2 there ove the past two seasons, and Boucher is 9-1 in net.
Dominic Osman is likely out of Sunday's game after getting kneed by Port Huron's Robert Snowball. Komets coach Al Sims said he can not put any weight on that leg yet.
Sims said he tried to call Ryan Potts about coming back, but he's out of town.
Boucher has stopped 64 of 65 shots the last two nights.
Who did you think hustled the most tonight? Who impressed you? Who stood out to you?
To make room for Mark Versteeg-Lytwyn, the Komets released cent
Colin Chaulk left the hospital Tuesday morning and went home. There is no timetable for his return, and no guarantee he'll be ready to go when he's eligible to come off the 30-day injured reserve list. He, and everyone else, has high hopes, but with something like MRSA, he'll be ready when he's ready and not before.
Here's how paranoid the hospitals are on this stuff: I had a doctors appointment at Lutheran on Monday and a copy of Saturday's paper which the original story was in was sitting in the lobby. That story was clipped out of the paper so nobody could read it.
You can order it here. I don't think I'm going to be able to get them in time for the games this weekend, and the Komets are on the road next week so this is probably your quickest bet to receive it. I'll try to organize a signing with the oldtimers for the homet games Jan. 30 and 31.
