Used to love that segment on In Living Color.
Anyway, Bob and I will be on Sound Off on WISE, Ch. 33 at 7 p.m. Saturday to talk about our books. Next Saturday, the 14th, we'll be doing a signing at Komet Kuarters in the early afternoon. We'll let you know more details next week.
Speaking of, with two Saturdays off in a row with no hockey, what are you going to do to fill the time? Here's a hint for the guys, Valentine's Day i
Just talked to General Manager David Franke, and Vince Tarantino is essentially day-to-day with a hip flexor problem. He's not expected to play this weekend, but could possibly jump into the lineup on Sunday if there's an injury. It's not serious and only requires some rest.
...in the last minute of a game when you're down by a goal? You can read what the Komets like to do here.
Another rendition of Fat Guys on Hockey can be seen here. You might need to turn the audio up a little bit to hear all of Randi's comments about naked hockey players.
According to authorhouse.com, "Legends of the Komets" is No. 2 on their best seller list which is strictly based on orders off their site. I expect to hold that position for exactly one week when Bob's book will blow me completely out of the water. LOL. Thank you all very, very much.
Is going to be available at Komet Kuarters in about 20 minutes and will be at the games next weekend.
On Friday night the IceHawks looks monstrously larger than the Komets, but not so much on Saturday so I asked coach Al Sims what the difference was.
I still don't think the defense is as much a problem as the forwards. There's plenty of talent up front, but I don't see anyone paying the price. They all think they are Russian stick-handlers, even the guys who should be heading to the front of the net. How many rebounds did the Komets get to tonight? How many times did the forecheck actually get to the PH defenseman when they had the puck? How many times did they throw a big check two seconds after the puck was gone? There are too many of the same player there.
According to General Manager David Franke, Dominic Osman has a strained medial collateral ligament and he's out at least a couple more weeks. Kevin Bertram might be ready to go next weekend after a shoulder separation, Olivier Legault is ready to start skating again and can come off IR Feb. 18 with a shoulder prol
Though the URL may change while I'm away from a computer, right now it is here. If it does change, you'll need to look it up on our Komets page.
For this weekend? Two games with the league's top two teams in the standings... The Komets finally seem to be getting healthy... Larry, Larry, Larry... It seems like it's been a lot longer than two week since there's been a home game, doesn't it? How will Guy react to only having to play half the game?
Anybody care about the Super Bowl? I'm hoping Harding grad Trai Essex gets to play and does well, but other than that I'm not that fired up about it. I also hope Rod Woodson makes the HOF on Saturday.
