Tailing the Komets

Komets win 5-4

Evansville scored just after the final buzzer. Mickey Lang had a hat trick and Mike Vaskivuo three of assists, but what I thought was interesting is both were on the ice playing well defensively in the final minute. Nick Tuzzolino was a healthy scratch and did not make the trip. Scott Fleming and Brandon Marino scored the other goals for the Komets. Vaskivuo plus-3, Lang, Marino, Fleming, Chris Auger and Joe Hartman all plus-2. Komets played with five defensemen.

More to come later.
