People seem so happy that the baseball stadium and team are doing so well that a lot of them are ignoring what hasn't been done at Harrison Square:
Should Fort Wayne continue working as a cooperative partner with the developer that hasn't built the condominiums it promised downtown, or should it turn to a tougher approach? That's a question Fort Wayne City Councilman John Shoaff, D-at large, wants the council to confront.
Near the close of Tuesday's City Council meeting, Shoaff said the city should move to collect $5,000 per day it is owed because Barry Real Estate Cos. failed to fulfill its contract with the city

You guys (Ft Wayne) got hosed big time didn't ya? Good luck actually "collecting" anything of value too.
Can I now say, "I told you so"??? The only contracts with The City of Fort Wayne that are valid are those where they are paying out and where the administration is "hiring" a consultant for just less than $100,000! And then, if it is a multi-year contract, it can go on at "less than $100,000 per year" forever!!!
It's so much fun to spend taxpayers money! Please elect me so I can serve (SCREW) you! Signed: Henry & Company
No thanks, Tom, one term of you is more than enough!!!
Tim & John:
I mentioned straight away (frequently) when this "project" FIRST came along, it was going to be a COSTAPLENTY SQUARE...
And that was HOW many years ago?
We ALL told them so...and they suffered from selective hearing loss.
(must be those boomcars...LOL)
This "being right" gig NEVER gets old for us, does it gentlemen?
;)
Of course, the $2 million figure is incorrect. Read more here: http://allencountywatchdog.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/harrison-square-correcting-the-mistakes/
