We're winning! There is a major announcement of a reduction in the size of government and a strong commitment to the private sector!
The Cuban government recently announced a major economic reorganization that will involve the reduction in employment in the state sector by as many as 500,000 workers. The reforms will also promote the enlargement of what is called the “private sector,” which means the formation of privately owned enterprises organized to generate profits for the private owners of the businesses.
Never mind.

As Alanis Morissette once said "Isn't it ironic"?
SO, if we ALLOW the progressives to turn us into ANOTHER Cuba, then we should be DOWNSIZING is say...40 years?
I can hardly wait.
;)
Anybody who can understand that Cuban government announcement is a genius. I'm still scratching my head.
I listened to a radio blurb this morning about how Cuba is allowing people to farm, 'lease free', a bit of land. They talked to a veterinarian-turned-farmer who would rather grow vegetables because it pays more than her $20/month veterinarian salary. So it looks like they've finally caught up to us in homesteading too (except they won't own the land they farm).
