How many public hearings do we have to have over something that isn't even there to discuss yet?

At this late date, are we likely to hear a reason not to talk about government reorganization we haven't heard yet, or a brilliant argument that will move us toward a reorganization committee? Forgive me for not sticking up for the common people, but if there are those who are just now becoming interested in the issue, do we really need to hear from them?
There is a proposal by the city on the table to establish a government restructuring committee. The county can accept it or reject it, and there has been ample opportunity for people to speak out. Let's get on with it.
