Remind me

Amen on liking the notification:

A new program was adopted that promised better customer service while saving the state of Indiana $2 million. It turns out the program may be failing to get some renewals out on time.

Exact Target, hired by the Indiana BMV to launch a new email alert system for registration renewals, may have missed the mark for some customers prompting the BMV to send out paper notices, just days before their car stickers expired.

BMV spokesman Dennis Rosebrough says, "It's on the back of your car as to when your license is due. By law we're not required to do any of this notification, but we know that people have become accustomed to receiving some notification."

"We're not required to do any of this..." Hmmph. Somebody at BMV sounding snotty; imagine that. There are so many things to remember to do that it's nice when somebody helps you along. The things I don't have to remember because somebody sends me something when it's due -- license stickers, insurance payments, property tax bill -- are things I can not worry about missing, and the reminders are much appreciated. I was one of those who didn't get a reminder last year -- or I missed it if it came -- and I drove around with an espired sticker for a few days until somebody left a note on my widshield. Lucky I didn't get ticketed.

Wonder if I can get somebody to send me a reminder in the mail that says, "Say, fella, time to get that haircut"?
