Right idea, wrong place

A Marion man takes the idea that religion can make you better off in entirely the wrong direction:

A former church official has been charged with stealing more than $276,000 from church accounts and using some of the money to pay for a vasectomy, motorcycles and cars.

William Jeremiah Six, 28, faces eight counts of theft and one count of fraud, said Grant County Prosecutor Jim Luttrull. Six was director of finances for Lakeview Wesleyan Church and Lakeview Christian School between June 2004 and July 2008.

A church official complains thatSix "used his authority and position to steal from the church and the school." I dunno. He spent money that wasn't his on things he shouldn't have. We usually don't send people to jail for that -- we re-elect them.
