With about three months left in the current school year, the number of Chicago Public School students slain has reached 26, matching the total for all of last school year.
Most of the killings have taken place on neighborhood streets and not during school hours.
Oh, whew, never mind then; the killings were in the streets and "not during school hours." This week's reason to be glad we live in Fort Wayne. I suspect we would not be calmly making "an effort to come up with ways to stem the carnage," as the story notes about Chicago. We'd be going out of our freakin' minds.

Gee, Chi-town keeps THAT pace up, and the school board there won't be able to gripe about classroom "overcrowding"...will they?
(there goes their bailout...down the drain)
;)
Ah, nothing a lil' "Hope & Change" and a few billion dollars can't correct.
