The Tennessee Mafia

Oh, for God's sake:

From former Indianapolis Star columnist Ruth Holliday's blog I gleaned this tidbit about Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning:

Manning also donated money recently to Fred Thompson's GOP presidential campaign, $2,300. Their tie is Tennessee, Thompson's home state. Manning graduated from University of Tennessee, as did Mrs. Manning, who is a native of Memphis and a generous volunteer.

Let's hope Peyton doesn't start shilling for vehemently anti-gay religious wrong groups and endorsing an Indiana constitutional amendment to ban same-sex civil marriage like Colts coach Tony Dungy.

Peyton Manning might be -- gasp! -- a Republican. So, that's why the lesbian-gay-bi-etc. community doesn't like the Colts. Is there not a single aspect of American life that we will leave untouched by our Red State-Blue State pathology?

How do such intellectually bankrupt morons get the newspaper columns?

Ruth Holliday's brain leaps FROM her hardly newsworthy "scoop" that Peyton Manning donated the modest sum of $2300 to Fred Thompson's presidential campaign TO her paranoid panic that Peyton might "start shilling for vehemently anti-gay religious wrong groups and endorsing an Indiana constitutional amendment to ban same-sex civil marriage..."

What the....???? Earth to Ruth Holliday... Earth to Ruth...
