A new Marion County recount shows that Rick Santorum did submit enough petition signatures to qualify for Indiania's May 8th Republican presidential primary. The Indianapolis Star reports.
That's not an endorsement of Santorum, but, rather, satisfaction that all four remaining candidates will be on the GOP ballot. For only the second time in modern history, a presidential contest won't be all but decided by the time of our May primary. And the contest is likely to be close enough still that winning our state's delegates will actually mean something.
My guess is that Santorum will beat out the other three here. He's the one who's the strongest social conservative, and that's attractive to Republicans here, yes?
