Code dead

Something for the kind-of-creepy-but-kind-of-cool-too file:

An Indiana monument company is taking gravestones out of the stone-age and giving them a high tech feature.

The company in Crawfordsville is programming and labeling headstones with QR codes, which is scannable with a smart-phone. It is creating memories that almost seem like a form of social media.

A tiny QR code on the stone connects people to an entire memorial site about their loved one.

How about making greater use of the QR codes while we're still around, too? I think we all should wear pins that include a QR code linking to sites that have information about our likes and opinions and life histories. That way I can just scan somebody's code and find out if I want to know them or not without actually having to talk to them. Cool, huh?
