I never, ever thought I would see this. It's the actual concluding paragraph from an actual editorial on the actual Journal Gazette editorial page:
Just as households are being forced to cut spending, so, too, will local governments. There are tough times ahead as the economy makes a painful adjustment. It will likely mean that local road and street repairs won't be made as quickly or as extensively as motorists have come to expect. Be advised, and be patient.
Local governments must cut spending? Boy, I bet it pained somebody to write that. Be still, my libertarian heart.
