Oh, puh-leeze:
President Barack Obama, while returning to Washington from a vacation in Hawaii, said Monday he hopes Republican leaders Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Rep. John Boehner of Ohio can put aside partisanship in the coming months to help lift the economy.
Obama was asked aboard Air Force One whether he expected to get a cold reception from Republicans who are set to vote on a repeal of his health law. "I think that there's gonna be politics, that's what happens in Washington," Obama said, according to pool reports of his trip. He added, "They are going to play to their base for a certain period of time."
The Republican-baiter-in-chief from the Chicago thug school of politics is calling for bipartisan civility from the other side? Is it too early to make nominations for most brazen political posturing of the year?
