Somebody is unclear on the concept:
A miniature "kamikaze" drone designed to quietly hover in the sky before dive-bombing and slamming into a human target will soon be part of the US Army's arsenal, officials say.Dubbed the "Switchblade," the robotic aircraft represents the latest attempt by the United States to refine how it takes out suspected militants.
Or at least in need of a little language remediation.
What made the Kamikazi so scary was the disadvantage we had in dealing with people willing to give up their own lives to inflict maximum damage to the other side -- or at least people put into plans and givrn no option to back out. They were our original suicide bombers. Sort of strips all the meaning away when the term is applied to a drone.
