Norfolk sends three to Komets

Komets release two

They have released Colten Hayes and Mike Hoban. Hoban is being assigned back to Dayton of the FHL.  Gabe Guentzel has also been recalled by Norfolk.

Komets GM David Franke said he expects defenseman Ryan Hegarty to play Wednesday. The Komets are also getting some more players from Norfolk tomorrow, all forwards. They will join the Komets in Gwinnett on Wednesday and play the two games there this weekend. Franke thinks some of them will then return to Fort Wayne, but he's not sure yet if all of them will.

J.M. Rizk moves the puck around Kalamazoo goaltender Joel Martin to score the first goal of the game Friday night. Seven minutes left in the first period.

Trying to fight through a three-game losing streak, the Fort Wayne Komets needed to play like a hungry team, and on Thanksgiving night they gorged on Wings.
