Anyone else remember? UPDATED

Obviously, most of us (except for the old, old-timers like Schebig and Burgee) are not going to remember when Lloyd Maxfield scored two goals 9 seconds apart Nov. 5, 1960, against Milwaukee. That's the answer to the fastest two goals by a Komets player after Kaleigh Schrock scored two 10 seconds apart Saturday night. But, I'm betting a few of us remember seeing Paul Willett score two SHORT-HANDED goals in 10 seconds in 1997, right? I remember seeing Scott Gruhl score two short-handed goals in 16 seconds once, too. Anybody else remember those nights?

Nice line

Since Komets coach Al Sims teamed the forward line of Sean O'Connor, Kaleigh Schrock and Chris Francis together with the defensive duo of Frankie DeAngelis and Brandon Warner, the Komets have scored eight power-play goals in 16 chances and they have scored six of them.

Komets up 3-1 after 1

Kaleigh Schrock scored two goals in 10 seconds, which is one second off the Komets' record of nine seconds held by Lloyd Maxfield. Komets had 22 shots in the period. Quad City looks like it is ready to go home after playing seven games in nine days. The Mallards are definitely road weary. Komets continue to look very good with the new systems.
