Hello,

I hope everyone has had a safe and fun hockey season.  Now that you have had some time to rest, its time to start thinking about summer camps. Canlan and myself have entered a partnership which I am very excited about.  Canlan is offering many weeks of summer camps this year. Some will be run by Jeff Jepson and the others will be run by me! Below is all the information you will need for the summer hockey camps that I am heading.

Puska on Pucks

Two championship coaches, and more on two Central Hockey League teams that are headed to the ECHL highlight Episode 41 of The Original Internet Hockey Show.

You can listen to it here.

Host Denis J. Puska has more information on the recent announcement of the Evansville Ice Men and the Fort Wayne Komets move to the CHL from the ECHL. Puska speaks with the voice of the Ice Men Terry Ficorelli and Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel Sports Writer Blake Sebring.

Since things have slowed up a bit, I was wondering your opinions on who the K's should bring back from last years' team next season.  Remember that you can only have four vets, a roster of twenty, and have a larger salary cap.

Are there any CHL players you would like the K's to talk to?  For example, I am hoping that they contact Brandon Marino who played with Quad City.

Key dates

The ECHL teams cannot sign players for next year until June 16. The league meetings are also June 20.

News conference highlights

These are all due to the hard work of Vinnie Lopes who hustled all day.

Brian McKenna interview

Some quotes from today

``I am very well aware of the tradition of hockey here in Fort Wayne. When you think about iconic markets in minor league hockey across the country that have survived over the decades, It's a very, very select list. Certainly you think of places like Hershey, Rochester, Providence, but certainly Fort Wayne needs to be at or near the top of that list. What has occurred here over the last six decades is truly amazing.''

New Komets' web site coming June 5. It looks great and is extremely easy to use.

Here's what we know

Sorry the live blog didn't work on time. All I can do is apologize for that and say that the link now does work. Not sure why, but it does.

* Al Sims re-signed, they are not announcing the length of the contract.

* Komets may have an affiliation with an AHL team, but they are a little leary of that and may just go it as an independent.

* They are going to concentrate on signing their own players first.

* No news yet on Gary Graham's head-coaching efforts, but everyone is hoping they go well for him. Supposedly he's close on a couple of options.
