Another 3-1 comeback?

As rare as it has been to see a team come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a series, the International Hockey League could see that happen twice this year. The Flint Generals beat the Muskegon Lumberjacks 5-2 on Tuesday night in Flint to force a Game 7 at 7 p.m. today in Muskegon.

That was the largest crowd for a first-round playoff game since 1995... After Port Huron went up 2-0 in Game 5, the Komets out-scored the IceHawks 15-3... Komets out-scored Port Huron 9-3 in the first period in the series... The team with the most shots is now 2-8 in Game 7s involving the Komets... Second time the Komets have been to three straight finals since 1963-65... Referee T.J. Luxmore worked six Komets games this year, and five were against Port Huron.

April 27, 2010 - Fort Wayne, Ind. - Fort Wayne's Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock, right, flips the puck into the goal to score the Komets' third goal in the first five minutes of the first period of Monday's Game 7 of the Turner Cup Championship semifinal series. Schrock scored again in the third period, and the Komets came back from a 3-1 series deficit to beat the Port Huron IceHawks 4-0 and advance to defend their back-to-back Turner Cup Championships.
