Fort Wayne goaltender Gerry Festa stopped this breakaway by Tulsa's Gerome Giudice, but he had no chance on two others as the Oilers lead 2-0 after one period.

Some of you have remarked about not being able to find the blog at times online. When you see that happening again, could you please send me an email at bsebring@news-sentinel.com or post here of the times you are having trouble finding it? Also, are you using mozilla or explorer or something else. Thanks.
Was that a better performance?
Everyone in the locker room was talking about how poor the ice was. Thank goodness they didn't try to paint it pink, or it might have been even worse. Yes, the pucks are frozen, too, but they were bouncing around like superballs tonight. Maybe there's just not much the coliseum can do with all the turnover from basketball to concerts to hockey.
This is what the pink uniforms looked like if you didn't get to go to the game. Komets won 3-2.
Let's post them all here please, and that way I can forward them to the powers that be from one spot. What do you like, dislike, suggest be changed, etc? Can't promise everything will be rectified, but I won't know what to ask about without feedback.
So far, they do think they can add a ``more'' tag at the bottom of posts that go on past what is on the topic page, and I asked about a more general recent comments section similar to what we used to have.
We are working on it, but it might take a few weeks or even months to get things to where they will be.
On a pink jersey? Anybody else going to wear pink to the games this weekend in support of the cause?
Also, the Komets did activate Chris Auger and put Brett Smith on IR back-dated to Jan. 13.
This story is nothing new because it's basically been expected since the Brooks brothers bought Adirondack.
For my father who has been in the hospital since Monday, and they can't figure out what's wrong. More tests tomorrow. My father survived pancreatic cancer and mom beat lymphoma so our family is pretty good at taking stuff on once we know what we're dealing with. This time, so far, we don't know. In His way and in His time. Thanks.
On Friday the Komets are going to activate Chris Auger and place Brett Smith on the 14-day injured reserve because they don't believe he'll be ready to go to Arizona next week, either. They aren't sure about defenseman Dustin Molle and next week yet. Goaltender Alex Kangas remains on IR with a hip problem.
Getting ready for Tulsa. You can watch it here:

Not a whole lot new going on right now.
Chris Auger skated today and wanted to test himself a little bit, but there won't be any conclusions made until tomorrow at the earliest.
Brett Smith rode the stationary bike the last two days, but he's not ready to resume skating yet.
Dustin Molle hopes to skate sometime next week.
Sorry for the cheesy new photo above. Tried to get them to make the puck look like it was bouncing off my head, which would explain a lot.
Right now, everybody who posts has to be approved for the first time, which I'll try to do as quickly as possible, but I'm not going to be able to be waiting on the blog 24 hours a day.
Try it out and see what you think.
