Five minutes in and it's 3-0

Komets have goals from Guy Dupuis (pp), Leo Thomas and Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock. They are all top shelf stick side, and Port Huron has just called its time out. Komets are absolutely flying. They also pulled the play out to set up Leo for a breakaway on a great pass from Sean O'Connor.

Some notes

Leo Thomas's goal with 2.1 seconds left Saturday night is the latest in a regulation game the Komets have ever scored a game-winning goal... Port Huron has nine power-play goals in the series, and Colin Chaulk has been in the penalty box for four of them... On average, the Komets are two years older than the IceHawks... Two years ago, the Komets won Game 6 4-3 on a Saturday night in Port Huron to force a Game 7 in Fort Wayne on a Monday night... The Komets are 10-12 when facing elmination since the Franke brothers bought the team in 1991...

Plenty of tickets available

As of 4:45 p.m., Sunday, Komets President Michael Franke said there are about 5,300 tickets out for Monday night and they are expecting a crowd of around 7,500. The Komets have not come close to selling out a first-round playoff game since the Memorial Coliseum was renovated in 2003, and have not sold out a first-round game since 1995 against Peoria.

The last time the Komets played a Game 7 outside the playoff finals was in 2005 when they drew 6,012 for a May 10 game against Rockford. That was a Tuesday night.
