Komets lose in shootout

They came back from a 3-1 third-period deficit but couldn't crack Bloomington goaltender Jason Wolfe in the shootout, getting one goal in 11 tries. David Hukalo, Sean O'Connor and Konstantin Shafranov scored for the Komets, and Sebastien Laplante made 34 saves. The Komets out-shot the PrairieThunder 44-37. It's their seventh game in a row to earn at least a point.

Komets left early today

They left an hour early and are hoping that's good enough. Jake Pence and Sebastien Laplante were activated off IR and Tim Haun and Ryan Potts were placed on waivers. I heard that Brad MacMillan also was ready to go.

Komets win in shootout -- finally

The Komets again take home five of a possible six points on the weekend with a 4-3 shootout win over Bloomington. They had been 0-5 in shootouts before this game.

Mathieu Curadeau continues his remarkable season with his 18th goal in 19 games with 3:51 left in regulation to tie the game and then he scored the game-winner in the shootout. Curadeau has scored in six straight games and has scored goals in 13 and has points in 16 of the 19 games he has played in this season. The Komets are
