Haven't heard anything yet from Anaheim, Norfolk or the Komets. If you'd like to watch the movement from everyone as it happens:
Here is the AHL transactions page
and here is the ECHL transactions page
There's been a lot happening already
Corey Elkins of the Fort Wayne Komets is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 31-Jan. 6.
After he suffered a shoulder injury Friday night, no one on the team expected Matt Firman to play the rest of the weekend, but the rookie forward even scored the game-winning goal Saturday night. He's earning a ton of respect from his teammates.
``He's a warrior,'' Kaleigh Schrock said.
Firman said he was just trying to help out.

Are you encouraged by what the Komets did this week? After the collapse on NYE, they beat Southern Division leader Gwinnett, split with North Division leader Cincinnati and beat Orlando which had won four of its last five. The Komets have won five of the last seven.
Now they start a stretch of 11 straight against division foes.
* Brent Henley's knee brace is broken and the new one has not arrived yet, which is why he has not been playing. It broke Wednesday, they jury-rigged it for Friday's game but was not possible to play on the last two games. Because it's custom-built, a new one should be in early this week.
* Asked Corey Elkins for a comment about his situation with Finland, and he said it's not the time to talk about it now. Everyone is expecting him to be recalled to Norfolk on Monday.
About Corey Elkins possibly going to play in Finland, and he said he hadn't heard anything about it and doubts the validity. 1. Corey is under contract to Anaheim and they'd have to release him from it for him to go, and the Ducks are a little busy right now; 2. Would he risk playing in two ECHL games if he was leaving? Anyway, that's what the coach said.
Komets General Manager David Franke said, ``That's something that could possibly happen for him, but at this point and time he is still proparty of Anaheim and he's assigned here.''
Komets trailed 3-1 early in the second period but have rallied to lead Cincinnati 5-3 before more than 12,000 fans in Cincinnati. It's amazing how they are such a different team on the road, just completely ridiculous. If they hold on tonight they'll be 10-5-2 on the road compared to 8-10 at home.
Has anyone got any thoughts on why they are so much better on the road as compared to home?
Also, interesting that Corey Elkins didn't mention a thing about possibly signing with a team in Finland during an interview with Bob Chase between second and third periods. Who knows.
The Komets have activated Ryan Hegarty from reserve and put Luca Caputi on reserve. They have also recalled Mike Hoban from Dayton. The Komets have not said anything official about Corey Elkins, likely because they are waiting for Norfolk to make the official announcement.
You can read Saturday's story here.
Will be interesting to see what lineup the Komets field tonight in Cincinnati. Luca Caputi and Matt Firman were both injured in the second period Friday night.
Here's the Komets' scores. First JM Rizk off a face-off
And then Corey Elkins on a short-handed chance.
Cincy's John McFarland went around the Komets' Nick Schaus for a goal, and then Garrett Klotz just missed this chance at a deflection.
This is WAY down the line, but say Norfolk continues to struggle and doesn't make the AHL playoffs. Then the Admirals could load up the Komets for the playoffs. Supposedly, I've been told that's what happened to Florida last year and it's a fairly common practice for this league.
Guys who have been here all year might be sitting during the playoffs while a bunch of new players might be playing.
How would you feel about that?
