How this team can look so strong on Friday night on the road and then come home and look so poor. They either have to get more disciplined on taking penalties or get different players. It's as simple as that.
Here's Schrock's goal

It was one of the most-interesting nights of the season. They really, finally, played like a team and it paid off big-time. Kind of shows what they are capable of when they follow the system.
Almost the exact same play, this time from Rizk to Lasch in front, top shelf. Shots 26-16 with 4:57 left. Kalamazoo can't get out of its own zone as Komets are dominating possession
Spectacular backhand pass from Brittain to Giosa who scores top-shelf blocker side on Joel Martin. Komets have played exceptionally well, holding Kalamazoo to only 14 shots through 50 minutes.
Kalamazoo scored a 5-on-3 goal after a weak trip from Brandon Marino gave the Wings a :36 two-man advantage. Kenny Reiter made two fantastic saves but no one could clear the second rebound.
Kalamazoo just scored to make it 2-1 on their first shot of the 2nd period at 12:49.
Komets have dominated play and chances, out-shooting Wings 12-4, and three of Kazoo's shots came on power plays. Komets are cycling well and controlling the puck. Komets have come close a couple of times, including this breakaway by JM Rizk. He wasn't able to lift the puck.
According to General Manager David Franke, he's been home recovering from a broken ankle suffered last season.
Matt Firman and Stephon Thorne have been activated for tonight's game and Garrett Klotz and Luca Caputi have been placed on reserve. Caputi is sick.
Though the ECHL Christmas roster freeze is on and teams are prohibited from trades or waiving players, they can make reserve moves anytime they need.

Don't forget, Saturday is the last day for Komets Kare Package
According to the ECHL transactions, the Komets have acquired rookie defenseman Tim Priamo from Wheeling. He's 6-2, 195 pounds and has one goal, four points and six penalty minutes in 22 games this season.
Tell me you didn't see those two dogging it in the second period tonight? On the Cyclones' goal and with about a minute left in the period on a great Cincinnati scoring chance, they both hadn't even crossed the Cincinnati blue line when the Cyclones were crossing the Fort Wayne blueline. Led to great Cincinnati scoring chances, and they cashed on one. Just bush.
Here's Garrett Klotz celebrating Thomas Beauregard's goal. It's been a very defensive-oriented game so far.
