Beyond the Palin

Rats. I was ready to declare another victory for the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy's efforts to drive the country crazy with All Things Palin, but my fellow wingnuts fell down on the job:

Before "Dancing with the Stars" crowned Jennifer Grey its champion Tuesday night, there was all kinds of discussion about how the ABC competition series could lose its credibility if Bristol Palin won.

What credibility? A show that has featured Jerry Springer, Kate Gosselin, The Hoff, Tom DeLay, and Cloris Leachman has no credibility, at least not as some kind of serious dance competition.

Oh, look. The "star" with the dancing background won. Again. Too bad. Just think of the fun we could have had:

I've never watched any of those talent competition shows, but all the hubbub over Bristol had me wishing she would win.
It's fun to watch people argue over the least important thing I can imagine.
It is kind of weird that Bristol Palin is considered a celebrity. She's just a girl who got knocked up by some idiot hockey goon who then dropped her. Now she's getting paid for lecturing teens about the advantages of abstinence. Does anyone else see the internal contradiction here? Had she abstained, she wouldn't be raking in the bucks.
America. What a country.

Remember when Sarah Palin called Levi Johnson 'Ricky Hollywood' for trying to cash in on his notoriety? Funny how when her own daughter does the same, its spun as Bristol being a 'good role model'. But then again, Sarah Palin has zero credibility.

Lewis, you are equating dancing and competing on the country's #1 rated family friendly tv show with posing nude for Playgirl? Really?

That speaks volumes to your credibility.

Well, I would equate the two, except that Playgirl is less obscene than "DWTS".
