Tailing the Komets

Rout is on

Kyle Bonis scored Toledo's fifth goal on a power play, walking in on Pat Nagle before going top shelf.

Now it's 6-3 Walleye. Nagle usually made the first save today but nobody helped him out.

4-3 heading into the third

Mike Embach was unable to beat Jeff Lerg five-hole on this breakaway.

Man, Toledo blocks a lot of shots. Komets need to do more of that, too.

Luciani has two goals on two shots.

Heading into second period

Good morning from Toledo

Pat Nagle for the Komets and Jeff Lerg for the Walleye are starting in goal.

The Komets called up Eric Levine to back up Nagle, and on his way to get his physical yesterday, he got T-boned and totaled his car. Luckily, he didn't suffer a scratch on himself.

Matt Krug is playing today and Will Lacasse is the only Komets' scratch. James Martin is wearing an A to replace Matt Pistilli who got called up to Norfolk.

Be fascinating today to see what kind of defensive game the Komets try to play. Toledo is every bit as fast as Fort Wayne.

Stanford Ratings for Nov. 17

The Stanford System connects and compares the teams, and develops a "Rating," based on the results of this season's games.  For each game, the system considers who won, the margin of victory, and the location of the game.  The "Schedule" column indicates the ranking of each team's schedule difficulty for games played to date.  To predict the most probable outcome of an upcoming game, first add the indicated "Home Edge" to the home team's rating, then compare the two teams' ratings.  The team with the higher rating is the most probable winn
