People throw the term "fascist" around so casually that it's clear many of them don't have a clue what it means. Whole Foods CEO John Mackey does, as he shows in his remarks about Obamacare:
Technically speaking, it’s more like fascism. Socialism is where the government owns the means of production. In fascism, the government doesn’t own the means of production, but they do control it, and that’s what’s happening with our healthcare programs and these reforms.
Of course the lines between socialism, fascism and what we might call aggressive progressivism are getting blurier and blurier. Big, big governments tend to end up in roughly the same place.
