Feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
An insurance company report ranks Fort Wayne as the 15th safest large U.S. city to drive in and Indianapolis the 46th safest.
The report released Thursday by Allstate Insurance Co. ranked the 200 largest U.S. cities on the frequency of car collisions.
I know the numbers don't lie and we shouldn't base too much on subjective judgments, but this doesn't seem right to me. Or maybe I've just run into more than my share of highway maniacs. According to the report, the average driver in the U.S. will experience an auto collision every 10 years. For For Wayne drivers, it's 11.6 years, and for Indy ones 10.3 years. Doesn't seem like such a big difference when it's put that way.
