Komets lost in Muskegon 6-4 despite two goals from P.C. Drouin and one each from Guy Dupuis and David Hukalo. Mathieu Curadeau had three assists. P.C. had four points.
Komets were playing without Colin Chaulk who had the flu and Olivier Legault who had a sore tailbone. Brandon Warner dressed but could not play. Jay Holladay played forward so the Komets went with five defensemen.
Here's a good story by Brendan Savage on Ben Boudreau, son of former Komets player and coach Bruce
Because they certainly had me confused:
The International Hockey League changed its rules on Wednesday to alter the way players are placed on injured reserve. Previously, a team could only place an unlimited number players on a 30-day injured reserve list, but now they have the option of using a 45-day and a 60-day list. Players on the 30-day roster still count toward the 21-man active roster. Players on the 45- and 60-day lists do not.
The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Wednesday that the Board of Governor's held an emergency teleconference Tuesday, November 4th and voted unanimously to amend the current injured reserve (IR) rule.

Whenever the media, or sometimes the coach, wanted to talk to one of the Russians, we would call Boris and he would meet us at the coliseum.
With about 2:40 left on the clock before the opening faceoff, you are going to absolutely love what the Komets have planned for the video board. It's pretty freaking cool.

The boys will be very happy about this one. The Port Huron IceHawks have changed their gametime for the game with the Komets on Dec. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be interesting to see how Port Huron does on a Tuesday.
