Blake,
I'm looking for sponsors and or people who wanna walk with me for my son's cause.
I'm looking for donations from anyone or anywhere I can find them,
can you post this on your blog to maybe generate some talk about it.
Some of you wondered what was going on with Guy Dupuis during the playoffs. This gives you some idea, though he'd never use anything as an excuse.
At $300,000 instead of $275,000 it was last year. Other than that, not much new yet.
Bruce Boudreau's Hershey Bears are champions of the AHL after beating Milwaukee in the Calder Cup Finals. It couldn't have happened to a better guy. Former Komet Bob Woods is also his assistant coach.

After all this, Mark, I'm expecting to see quite a few blisters in two weeks. Blake
This is in tomorrow's paper.
The Fort Wayne Komets are continuing to pare their list of potential coaches as a possible front-runner has emerged.
Former Komets Bruce Ramsay and Steffon Walby have been told they are no longer being considered, but John Marks and Rick Adduono are, along with the previously identified Pat Bingham. There may be other potential candidates, but Komets General Manager David Franke declined to name them.
The United Hockey League just announced that Danbury and Adirondack have dropped out of the league.
“Both organizations made a business decision to not participate in the league
for the upcoming season,” stated Richard Brosal, UHL President/CEO. “The
Frostbite were not able to secure a lease with the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Without their closest geographical rival in the league, the Trashers made a
financial decision to suspend their operations.”
Adirondack is out, and maybe another team. We'll know more very, very soon.

I'm guessing most of you saw the situation going on with the Trashers today. If not, Trashers owner James Galante was one of 29 people indicted during a federal investigation into the trash industry. Part of the indictment details Galante allegedly paying three players $100,000 each last year and the entire team $750,000 in salary. The UHL salary cap is $275,000.
Players or their wives were sometimes allegedly paid as employees of Galante's other businesses.
There were approximately 3,000 hits on the blog on Tuesday, the day of the dispersal draft, and Wednesday there were more more than 4,000. Thank you.
There's a lot more good stuff coming in the next month or so. Hopefully by then the Komets will have a coach and I can take a day or two off. Maybe I'll have to see about getting a guest blogger.
If you haven't seen this, it's pretty amazing stuff.

Talk about stupid.
The next coach of the Fort Wayne Komets will be?
Todd Brost is not a candidate (his choice). Pat Bingham is. Bruce Ramsay and Kevin Kaminski have applied as have ECHL coaches and AHL assistant coaches. Troy Neumeier is not a candidate because he still wants to play (good for him). The Komets have already heard from 12 people, and the process is just starting.
The Fort Wayne Komets are looking for the 25th coach in their
55-year history, The News-Sentinel has learned. Greg Puhalski, the winning-est
coach in United Hockey League history, is taking over the new Chicago Hounds
team in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
