A judge in Indy who heard juvenile cases can now really relate to the youngsters:
Teens are warned every day not to text anything inappropriate, and definitely not while behind the wheel or in the classroom.
But it's a message that escaped a Marion County Juvenile Magistrate. She was fired for texting violations while hearing cases.

A Hoosier lawmaker does us proud by getting on a Top 15 list!
U.S. Rep. Pete Visclosky, D-Merrillville, has been named one of the 15 most corrupt members of Congress by an ethics watchdog group.
It's the first time Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington lists Visclosky in its annual report.
That sex offender registry isn't a cure-all, is it?
Bloomington man is behind bars Tuesday night for the third time for the exact same crime.
"Sick, sick...sick, very." said neighbor Billie Hundley.
Police arrested 29-year-old Todd Rimstidt early Monday morning on the city's south side. A tipster told police Rimstidt had allegedly been engaging in sexual activity with two 13-year-old boys.

Daniel Brodsky was arrested at his Carmel home after Westfield police received a call that a woman had been injured near the Freedom Trails Park, this past Saturday.

Looks like a clear case of DWI -- driving while incinerating:
A woman was arrested after troopers say she was driving her car down the road, too intoxicated to notice that it was on fire.
She told troopers she had two shots of vodka earlier in the day. Holcomb was given a breathalyzer test and registered a 0.12.
Perhaps it's time for those of us who've been fighting against the spread of gambling in Indiana to just give it up as a lost cause:
Former Republican state Sen. Robert Meeks of LaGrange said he wanted lawmakers to allow residents of Steuben County in far northeastern Indiana to vote in a 2010 referendum on whether they would accept a casino. He said northeastern Indiana was the only large swath of the state without a casino.
I guess I see the state's point. Gay marriages aren't recognized here, so it's not exactly logical for a gay couple married elsewhere to seek a divorce here. But that creates a problem:
Gay and lesbian couples from Indiana can get married in more places than ever, but they could face a legal dilemma after they return home.
A real class act:
Three women have filed a sexual-harassment lawsuit against Gary W. Collins, a chief Floyd County probation officer who was the target of another complaint that was settled privately six years ago.
Sometimes, all those attempts to ban sex offenders from parks don't seem so draconian:
A registered sex offender caught fondling himself at an Evansville park is charged with public nudity. Around 8:00 p.m. Monday a woman walking her dogs spotted 43-year-old James Krietemeyer inside his car with his pants down.
