The Komets were scheduled to play four games in four nights from Feb. 18-21, which is not allowed under the collective bargaining agreement. Instead, they are moving the Feb. 21 game at Bloomington to Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Bloomington. It actually would have been five games in six nights under the previous scheduling.
The Komets met with Konstantin Shafranov today and reached a mutual decision not to sign the veteran forward at this time. He will continue to work with the team as an associate coach dealing with the forwards.
``That doesn't mean that if something happened and we were in need we wouldn't go to him for a week or two,'' general manager David Franke said. ``Right now, we're not going to make an official move.''
