Komets lead 3-2 late in the second period, but the real bad news is that defenseman Dustin Molle has not been out on the ice during the second period. Maybe the experiment with his balky groin is done for the season.

On goals by Chaulk, Bennefield and Auger. The Komets look like a much different team tonight. Granted, Laredo's defense is awful, but the Komets look confident and fast.
Dustin Molle has been activated and David Starenky has been placed on 10-day IR back to March 10. Alex Kangas has also been activated off IR and then placed on waivers.
Whitney Young Early Childhood Center is hosting a ``Night at the Museum of Art'' on March 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. as a fundraiser. ``We are in need of replacing a large playground set for our whole school and we are trying to build a smaller set that would be for the 3, 4, and 5 year old Pre-K kids that would be 100 percent handicapped accessible for our special need students.''
Tickets cost $10 per person or $15 per couple pre-sale. For tickets or donations, call 467-8950. There will be live music, cheese tasting, Hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction.

As we showed a couple of weeks ago with this story and most Komets' fans know, defenseman Brent Henley is an amazing individual.
In the CHL's annual ``Best of the Best'' poll of players, the Komets' Colin Chaulk has been named the best leader and best face-off player, and Brent Henley has been named the best defensive defenseman.
According to the CHL, the Komets have claimed forward Mike Vasivuo off waivers from Rapid City. He has 13 goals and 37 points in 54 games this season.
No idea yet what they'll have to do to activate him on the roster.

Another audio memory from Dave Longsworth. This ties into the last couple we've put up.
