The Komets have placed Brad MacMillan on 30-day IR with his shoulder injury which he re-injured last week during practice. He'll be eligible the last week of the regular season. Tim Haun is also being shut down for the week with what appear to be concussion problems, and the Komets are looking to sign a goaltender who can come in and play if necessary. Leo Thomas will be back in the lineup on Thursday and Mitch Woods is 50-50 to play Thursday after suffering a Charley horse on Friday.
The Fort Wayne Komets rallied to earn a point Sunday but also left themselves with no second chances.
After losing at first-place Muskegon on Friday night, the Fort Wayne Komets bounced back with five-straight goals to win 5-1 at Dayton on Saturday night. Matt Syroczynski scored twice, Guy Dupuis, Sean O'Connor and Brandon Warner once to provide the offense as goaltender Nick Boucher made 27 saves.
Otto and the Game of the Week Gang have a feast for you on Tuesday. Starting at midnight, there will be Komets replays on for 24 hours straight on Comcast Ch. 57 and Verizon Ch. 27. THESE ARE NOT THE NORMAL CHANNELS FOR THE GOW!
Here's the lineup with the time and original date the game was played:
12am Quad City 12-4-09
2:30 am Bloomington 12-31-09

The Fort Wayne Komets held International Hockey League leading scorer Todd Robinson off the scoresheet Friday night, but they couldn't find any offense of their own in a 4-1 loss at Muskegon.
The victory pushes the Lumberjacks eight points up on second-place Fort Wayne in the International Hockey League standings. The Lumberjacks have 10 games remaining the Komets 12, with the only remaining matchup between the two being played in Fort Wayne on April 7.
``We just have to make sure we hang onto second,'' Komets coach Al Sims said.
Mac re-tweaked his shoulder injury Wednedsay in practice; and Leo is not fully ready to go with the concussion he suffer
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Colorado State University club hockey player faces a disorderly conduct charge after he allegedly checked a referee during a national tournament in Connecticut.
Congratulations to Bob Chase for FINALLY getting a Red Coat from the Mad Anthonys after 15 years of suggestions, but he has to share the stage with Tom Crean? Seriously, what has he done to merit such an award? Maybe in five years or so. How bad does this look when Matt Painter, who by the way used to live in Fort Wayne, is still playing in the tournament and has a co-Big Ten title this year? How about Mike Emrick, who recently had 28 million people listening to him call the Olympics and just happens to be the best in the world at what he does?
Just wondering.
Or maybe I should also ask, who's going on the road with the Komets this weekend?
As the Komets continued their quest for a third consecutive IHL Turner Cup Championship with a victory over the Quad City Mallards in front of 9,290 fans on March 19th, fans were busy in the lobby placing bids to raise money for the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.
Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock was named IHL Rookie of the Week, and Nick Boucher is the Goaltender of the Week. Schrock had four points in four games, including three goals. Boucher made 44 saves in his shutout of Dayton on Sunday. Jamie Schaafsma of Flint won the Player of the W
Have you guys noticed of late about five of you seem to be doing 90 percent of the posting?
Hate to see what will happen when the Komets have a really bad season again. All some of you have done for the last three or four weeks is b---- about stuff. No matter what is said, there's something drastically wrong with it, and you guys are dominating the discussion. If a Komet or a Franke or a referee rescued someone from a burning building, you'd be complaining they didn't stop the fire from starting in the first place.
