Cheaters

It won't be as easy as the Patriots think to "put all this" behind them:

"It's over. We're moving on."

So said New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick during Friday's televised news conference about the videotaping dirty tricks used against the New York Jets. The tactic cost him and his team $750,000 in fines. The Pats also lose a first-round draft choice if they make the playoffs, a second- and third-round pick if they don't.

Patriot acts

This is, of course, George Bush's fault. If he had not insisted on making 9/11 an excuse to spy on ordinary Americans going about their usual business, thus creating a culture in which the violation of our privacy is accepted as routine, such an outrage would never even have been attempted:

WNBA. Come on, does anybody really care?

Indiana beats Detroit in WNBA Eastern finals opener

Good Knight!

Would you send your kid to play basketball under Bobby Knight?

Man's best and worst

At least Michael Vick didn't issue a non-apology apology:

"I made a mistake of using bad judgment and making bad decisions. Those things just can't happen. Dogfighting is a terrible thing, and I do reject it."

It ain't football, that's why

I'm not going to watch soccer. You can't make me. I don't care how much they paid Beckham:

Batter up!

It's bad enough that Democrats want to shake the foundations of the country by making the Constitution a "living document" instead of the bedrock of our principles. They also have no qualms about also destroying something really important:

According to researchers Christopher Zorn and Jeff Gill,] baseball fans are far more likely to embrace the designated hitter (DH) if they are Democrats.

[. . .]

Their explanation for this finding makes intuitive sense.

A well-rounded fan

This admission may mark me as a bad Summit City resident, but I have never been to a Komets game. In fact, not going to see the Komets is one of my favorite pastimes. That can get boring, though, so sometimes I don't go to Wizards games. Wanting to be a well-rounded person, I had thought I might also not go to any arena football games. The trouble is that I like football, and a friend wants to go see what the arena version is like. But now I will still have a third sport not to attend:
