Seems like the only group that can make it's way through the Wings' NZT is the Auger, Marino and Ouellet line. Everybody else is dump and chase, and no one can recover the puck. Wings are doing a great job of moving it quickly out of their own zone. Couple of sloppy and obvious penalties by the Komets.
Not good so far. Boring hockey, too. No entertainment value whatsoever.

I understand the Olympics are a pain in the backside for NHL teams which are shut down for three weeks in the middle of the season. I also understand that the Olympics are probably the greatest marketing tool and best chance to introduce the sport to new fans. I also want to see the best athletes possible at the Olympics.
So the question is, do you want NHL players in the next Olympics? Why or why not?

This Wednesday night at Canlan is the Memorial Cup Championship Game. Leo takes on Carroll beginning at 7:00 pm. We will have some awards presentation starting around 6:45 pm. Top 5 scorers, top 3 goaltenders, and the 1st and 2nd all city teams.
This coming weekend begins the Indiana State High School Hockey Invitational. Games are in Fishers and South Bend. The state finals for all 5 classes will be here in Fort Wayne on Saturday March 8th.

Wednesday was weird because I didn't think the Komets were out-classed, I just thought they didn't play well, maybe their worst game in a while. Even with that, it was still 2-1 going into the third even though they made some glaring mistakes they haven't made in two months. If they can ever get their power play going consistently to score on goal a game or be a threat every time...
