Tailing the Komets

Game-winning goal

What a goal! All right!

Playing his first game with the Komets, Christian Ouellet blocked a shot at the Fort Wayne blue line, carried the puck up ice, faked out one defenseman, let the other slide by and then faked out goaltender Joel Martin for possibly the prettiest goal of the season.

Another thing: A new drinking game. Every time the guy who hosts intermissions stuff says, ``All right!'' take a drink. It's better than ``Hi, Bob.''

Other than that, a very boring game. About 2,500 fans here. It looks like a training camp scrimmage.

Szyd's first goal

It's 1-1 after another soft goal allowed heading into the second.

Binnington back for Wings

From a Kalamazoo press release:

Hours away from their first visit of the season to the Allen County Memorial Coliseum taking on the Fort Wayne Komets, the Kalamazoo Wings have added goaltender Jordan Binnington to their lineup.

This morning the St. Louis Blues reassigned Binnington back to Kalamazoo from the Chicago Wolves. On Sunday, Binnington played for the Wolves making 31 saves in a 4-3 shootout victory over the Rockford IceHogs.
