He's playing career game No. 499 tonight and No. 500 tomorrow night. He needs eight points for 250 in his 11-year pro career. He's playing with the Danbury Whalers of the Federal Hockey League and has 10 goals and 22 points in 19 games this year. The team is in last place with a 1-17-6 record.

Boucher will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed watch courtesy of Sher-Wood and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.
After he was arrested early Jan. 1 and charged with drinking and driving and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, local radio personality Billy Elvis will no longer serve as the Komets' fill-in in-house crowd announcer, Komets Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Sproat said Wednesday night.
Elvis, who's real name is Christopher Durkee, has filled in for regular in-house announcer Wade Weaver on several times during recent seasons.
The league has said it erred by not posting it on transactions earlier.... but Richards has also not reported to Dayton at this time. The league says it is not sure of his status on reporting.

The Komets announced Tuesday that they have traded defenseman Trisitin Llewellyn to the Missouri Mavericks for goaltender Gerry Festa.
Festa, 27, began his pro career with Missouri 2009-10. 2011-12 was his third consecutive season with the Mavericks. The netminder opened this season with two wins before completing his abbreviated 2011-12 stint with Missouri posting a 2-4-2 record, 3.00 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in eight appearances.

There's not much of one yet, and we're not sure if that's good or bad news. This afternoon's X-ray didn't show anything, so he's going to have an MRI sometime over the next two days.
Tyler Sims is backing up Nick Boucher tonight and will be at practice the rest of the week, but the Komets are also working on signing another full-time goaltender. Tyler has not played competitively since training camp.
