Please note the awesome Chicago Bears colors in celebration of the fact their season is ongoing.
This is from Indiana National Guard Master Sgt. Steve Kingsley about Komets Kare Package from this year:
In Kevin Reiter's two wins, the Komets have scored 11 goals. In the other 11 games, including a pair of relief appearances, they have scored 21 goals. That's ridiculous. They have scored fewer than three goals in nine of his games.
Two hours before the opening faceoff, almost every Komet was trying to stifle a yawn as they walked into the locker room, almost as if they woken up too late from their pregame naps.
This has been by far the most boring game of the season, and that's saying something.
Undisclosed injury.
I also taked to Brad MacMillan who was put on waivers today by Colorado. He has not talked with anyone with the Komets yet, other than some of the players. Komets do get first crack at him if they choose since they would be first in the waiver draft.
My guess? They pick him up, but I don't know how that plays into the remaining games of his suspension or whatever. I would also not be shocked if Brad just said the heck with the CHL and decided to A) give up
Brandon Warner has been moved to the 30-day injured reserve list from the 10-day list with a separated shoulder. The Komets are going to sign Dustin Molle to take his place. Neither Leo Thomas or Kaleigh Schrock will play this weekend, and the Komets will activate Colin Chaulk.
Defenseman Dustin Molle, 25, was at Komets practice today. He's 6-2, 212-pounder, who played 18 games with Idaho of the ECHL the last two seasons. He had one goal and two points this year in 16 games with the Steelheads. He qualifies as a developmental player, but the Komets have not signed him yet.
Central Hockey League Director of Hockey Operations Jim Wiley has reviewed the video from Saturday's game between Fort Wayne and Dayton and said, ``There are not going to be any suspensions relative to the Komets/Gems game last weekend.''
Bob Chase and I will be on SportsWise with Kent Hormann from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday on WKJG, 1380-AM. Stop out at Covington Bar and Grill and say hello. We'll be talking mostly about Colin Lister.
Also, I'm going to be speaking a bit at Colin's funeral on Wednesday. Is there anything in particular any of you would like me to make sure gets mentioned?
